About the Arrowhead Metropolitan District

The AMD, organized in 1981, is a quasi-municipal corporation and a political subdivision of the state of Colorado located in Edwards, an unicorpirated area of Eagle County. It is directed by a homeowner elected* five-member Board. (*Arrowhead Homeowners who are Colorado residents can vote in these elections) The AMD receives its funding through resident property taxes and the Arrowhead local sales tax.

The AMD provides the following services:

•  Street/road maintenance, including guardrail and barriers
• Snow removal on streets and parking lots
• Domestic water system maintenance
• Storm water drainage system maintenance
• Wildfire mitigation in surrounding areas
• Mosquito control
• Transportation systems within the community
• Street lighting on specific streets
• Skier Parking Lot maintenance and snow removal
• Maintenance of community parks, trails, and playgrounds
• Public Safety and Security
